Over 300 listeners of all ages
enjoyed the energetic music from Rusty James at Gage park today. This delightful
gentlemen has been entertaining in the area now for the last 6 years and is becoming more in
demand at many different functions being held in and around the Hammer. Rusty has a
voice that quickly adapts to any song that requires special feelings or dynamics and
one can easily recognize that he totally enjoys what he is doing and this enthusiasm is
quickly passed on to his listeners. Along with his ability to capture a crowd with his
humorous banter between tunes is second to none. His repertoire includes everything from
light Jazz, fusion, Easy listening, Pop, Country, R&B, Retro Dance, Disco, Oldies, 50s60s
and of course Rock. Rusty says Diversification, for him, is the most rewarding way to go.
He finished his show with songs from his own catalogue and I was surprised on how quickly
the crowd interacted with his tunes. After the show, I received a copy of his latest Cd
from him. All I can say is, Wow! a job well done, there's something for everyone on the
debut album.
